An Update On Our January Hedging Recommendation

I posted an article in January suggesting hedging into the Fed tightening cycle. Here's how equities (S&P 500 and NASDAQ) and bonds (Barclays Aggregate) have performed since. I've heard from quite a number of folks lately that nobody saw this coming. We’d agree that many firms didn't but we took down risk for our clients and recommended others consider the same. In addition, we warned investors they would not be safe in most bonds in a rising interest rate regime. We help clients risk-manage portfolios through the entire market cycle.
